EN Norms And Standards

Performances and risks of Industrial Protective Gloves are assessed according to European norms. The risk and protection levels are symbolized by pictograms with the levels of performances. Performances not measured are mentioned as “X” in the pictograms

Categories:

Gloves for Hand protection are divided into 3 categories, depending on risk protection for which they are used. 

Category I: For Minimal risk only
Gloves in this category are for reversible and low level risk. They are mostly used for General purpose applications.

Category II: For Intermediate risk 
Gloves in this category are for reversible and low level risk. They are mostly used for General purpose applications.

Category III: For Irreversible or mortal risk
Gloves in this category are of complex design and protect against the highest level of risk. e.g. Chemicals, Highly corrosive acids etc. Gloves in this category must be independently tested and certified by a notified body.
